WooCommerce 3.9

With WooCommerce 3.9 some new features were introduced. The latest WooCommerce update was released on January 22 with small enhancements. There is now a new Show button for password fields and a Payment Gateway API to support pay buttons for better button setup is now built in.

The New Features

WooCommerce Blocks

WooCommerce Blocks 2.5.11 brings a new block, the All Products block with filtering and pagination, among other improvements.

MaxMind Geolocation Integration

WooCommerce uses the MaxMind GeoLite2 database behind the scenes to determine a customer’s country. MaxMind changed the licensing that a key to activate the feature is now required.  WooCommerce 3.9 includes MaxMind in the Integrations tab, where you can enter your key.

WordPress and PHP Minimum Requirements

Starting with WooCommerce 3.9, stores now need to use WordPress 5.0 and PHP 7.0. Stores running earlier versions than PHP 7.0 and WordPress 5.0 will not be able to update to WooCommerce 3.9.

Remember to create a backup before installing updates!
