The first update of WooCommerce in 2021 was released on January 12 as a minor release with mostly improvements.

New Features

WooCommerce Admin 1.8.3

The new version of WooCommerce update brings mostly fixes and stability improvements.

  • Multiple compatibility changes are added for IE 11.
  • Stock management and reviews management panels have been moved to the WooCommerce home screen.
  • For stores based in India, another payment option Razorpay is now available.
  • A new customer survey utility to gather feedback from users around various product features has been added.

WooCommerce Blocks 4.0

Besides bugfixes and small improvements this update contains brings changes to the scenes logic in checkout flow so that the flow in which data is processed is more logical.

Fixes and improvements

  • API performance improvements: WooCommerce REST API responses have been made faster for product and order endpoints.
  • UK and Isle of Man removed from EU VAT zones: Because of the Brexit, UK and IM have been removed from EU VAT zones. 
  • Stock management fixes: The stock management is now more robust and prevents duplicate stock reduction.
  • Product review count: A problem related to incorrect review count has also been fixed. To correct the review count, you have to add/remove a product review manually.
  • Better coupon error messages will be shown, when the coupon usage limit is reached after an incomplete or failed payment.
