Magento 2.2.2
The latest version of Magento was released on December 12. It brings a lot of fixes and enhancements. Over one hundred fixes are in this update.
The new update contains also some new features to improve the Magento experience.
The main new Features are:
- Advanced Reporting powered by Magento Business Intelligence. It allows an easy access to customer reports in the Magento Admin to enable data-driven decision making.
- Magento Shipping is also a new feature which provides advanced multi-carrier shipping.
- Streamlined Instant Purchase checkout helps customers to bypass steps automatically in the checkout process.
- The Integrated dotmailer marketing automation software is one of Magentos first ecommerce solutions to include the dotmailer marketing automation with their core product.
- Magento Functional Testing Framework allows functional testing and minimize efforts to perform regression testing.
The most important fixes and enhancements in Magento 2.2.2 are:
- Significant enhancements and fixes for various payment methods.
- Improvements to multi-storeview sites that, switching store views no longer results in an error.
- New functionality for the command-line interface to improve the experience with it.
- You can now use the Enter key (in addition to a mouse click) to search tables in the Admin.
- Magento no longer creates duplicate shipments when merchants create shipments with bundled products via API.

Magento 2.2.1
This version of Magento was released on November 7 and contains a lot of fixes and enhancements as well. Some of the fixes are security related, therefore it’s important to install the update soon.
The highlights of this version are:
- Integrated Signifyd Fraud Protection.
- Ability to implement translations from themes.
- Improvements to how the PayPal Express Checkout payment method processes virtual products.
- Multiple enhancements to product security.
- Twenty-two community-submitted bug fixes and multiple pull requests, which are fixing mostly general issues with Magento.
Remember to create a backup of your site, because every update can result in an error.
